Conclusion
Doing this project is a little bit hard for me because Biñan, Laguna is not my hometown. All I remember when we migrate here are there are lots of trees. When I was a little kid, I used to stay in our village and I rarely go outside that is why I don't see the other areas in Biñan. I don't know what's happening and how changes in our place affect sustainability. But, while I'm growing up and I already see and experience the different situation outside our village, I've started to become aware that our community is experiencing problems that are needed to be resolved.
In getting some information about Biñan during 1990's and early 2000's, I decided to interview some of my cousins and friends last November. They tell me that there are only small number of population and traffic is not a problem. Unlike now, it takes an hour to go in a nearby place. The main cause of traffic problem is improper urban planning because some roads, loading and unloading system, establishments like shopping malls and stores are not organized. Roads are not cemented properly. There is no proper drop off and pick-up area. The cars going in and out of shopping areas affect the smooth flow of traffic.
Studying about traffic problems give us more knowledge on how we will prevent this from causing bad effects to the economy, environment and society. It also challenges us to innovate and maximize the technology we have now in solving issues. This also may help us to discipline ourselves and have a proper planning. There are ways and possible solutions that may lessen the causes and effects of these problems. We just have to adapt the other techniques or strategies of other cities do.
